We're Baaaaaaaaack!

Ok ok, I know its been a looooooong time since the last post, but in my defense we have been super busy. Lots and lots has happened but, I'll save most of the updates for another post. But just to give you a little taste, here is a bit of whats happened so far. Our little beans our now 8 1/2 months old!!! Seriously where the heck does the time go???
Izel is ready to start crawling her way around the house at any second. She knows how to pull her self into a sitting position from her belly and loves to get into EVERYTHING. She has figured out how to turn the TV on and off and thinks its the funniest thing. She also now has a total of TWO teeth. Another big news for my little firecracker, a date has been set to have her DOC band removed. Her official last day of being a DOC band baby is July 1st!!! Super exciting I know.
Iker is also practicing his crawling skills. He is not as advanced as Izelita but he's getting there. He mostly does the army belly crawl and loves to flip back and forth from tummy to back. He is my super-dee-duper chill little man. Unlike Izelita, who loves to throw her 'tude around every now and then, Iker is so mellow its unbelievable that they are twins. They are like night and day, but thats what I love about my beans, they love to keep us on our toes. Iker also has he teeth coming in, except he only has one at the present time. Iker has also had some changes done in regards to his DOC band. My poor little guy out grew his cute blue band, so we had to order a new one. My poor little man will have to wear the new one for a least another 3 months...boo!
Ok Ok, I'm rambling so here is what you all really came for, the pics. So here they are, enjoy!!

Holy Guacamole, The Twins are 6 Months!!!

I know, I know its late, but better late than never :) So the babies had their 6 month checkup and they are doing grrrrrrreat. My little beans have fully sprouted into what I like to call baboddlers (get it, half babies half toddlers hee-hee). No longer do we have sleepy cooing babies, whose only activites during the day was eat, sleep, and poop. Now we have high energy, rolling, grabbing, babbling, sitting machines! They now want to feed themselves, sit by themselves, and hold their own toys.

Izel can now sit by herself for extended periods of time, and really really enjoys it. She prefers to be sitting or playing in her exersaucer more than anything. She loves to talk and loves her dolls and her horsie (however its MIA at the moment). Although she thinks eating is such a chore, she is the heavier of the two, so go figure. Not only will she make us work to to feed her (she hates being held while eating) she will also make strangers work for a smile, she doesnt just give them out for free.

Iker is trying very very hard to sit by himself, but still teeters a little. He loves to play on his exersaucer and rolling around in his bed. He loves to wake Ramiro and I with his singing, although some might call it more of a growl :) He LOVES to eat. He is a pro at eating his peas and cereal. He loves to blow raspberries while he eats, he thinks its the funniest thing of earth. And as opposed to Izel, who is shy around strangers, Iker is a big flirt and loves smiling to anyone and anything :).

So here are the updated measurements of my baboddlers, no longer my 5lb and 6 lb babies :(

Here are Izel's measurements:

Height: 26 inches

Weight: 17 lbs 4.7 oz

Head Circumference: 17.01

Here are Iker's Measurements:

Height: 25.75 inches

Weight: 16 lbs 13.6 oz

Head Circumference: 17.52 inches

Happy Easter!

Hope everyone had a super fun weekend. Easter weekend was spent at Lita and Abuelitos house. They had TONS of fun and got lots of Easter baskets from the familia. So here is the run down of our weekend:
Friday we spent the night at Lita and Abuelitos house since our visit ran a little late (which was FINE by Lita :) )
Saturday, we attempted to make it on time to see Tia Ju-Ju dance at the park, but got lost on our way there. We did however get a nice tour of Fullerton and realized what a really nice city it is :)
Sunday woke up early to attend Sunday mass at 7am. Ramiro and I figured that during this time the babies would sleep through and not fuss too much. Well the sleeping part we got wrong :) Instead of sleeping, the babies decided that it was much more fun to play and sing with the nuns that were sitting right behind us hee-hee. They even mentioned to us that they were so glad we sat in front of them, otherwise Easter mass just wouldn't have been as fun :)
Iker & Izel were super excited that they got to spend a little of Sunday morning with Tia Maria, Tio Nick-nack, Tio Ace, and Tia Ju-Ju, which they hadn't seen in a looong time.
Hmm..what else, oh yeah, they had their first egg hunt and found tons of eggs. That was really fun, although I think Ramiro and I had more fun that the babies :)
So here are a few pics of our weekend. Enjoy :)
